I specialize in helping families of children and teens who are struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, and behaviors that impact safety and well-being. The goal is to regain trust, love, and acceptance within the relationships.
Parenting does not come with a manual of "what to do when" your child is experiencing mental health struggles. If you are a parent seeing your child battling anger, bullying, anxiety, OCD, depression, panic attacks, or has experienced trauma, I can help create a safe space to play, explore, learn skills to manage these issues, and walk through the healing process together.
Family may look different for all of us. One thing remains the same and that is that family is made out of relationships. Relationships can be beautiful and complicated at the same time. We each play an important role in our family system and everyone is part of the solution when conflict arises or we need to adapt to changes. It can also be a great opportunity to communicate better.
Having a child with mental health needs can be isolating, overwhelming, confusing, and anxiety-provoking. I believe in creating a space where you can speak freely about your parenting without fearing judgment. Two things can be true at the same time, and you don't have to do it alone!
Teenagers are going through constant change and as we know, change can be hard. Therapy may help your teen manage their thoughts, learn appropriate ways to regulate their emotions, figure out relationships, increase their self-esteem and feel hopeful about their future.
